What is followly?
followly is an automated follow-up tool for photographers. It sends personalised rebook reminder emails to your past clients at the right moment — so you never lose touch with the people who already love your work.
Who is followly for?
followly is built for wedding, family, newborn, and portrait photographers who want past clients to rebook — without manually tracking dates or remembering to email everyone.
How long does it take to set up?
A few minutes. You sign in with Google, optionally connect your calendar to import past sessions, edit your three starter templates once, and followly handles the rest automatically.
Do I have to use Google Calendar to use followly?
No. Connecting Google Calendar is the fastest way to import past sessions, but you can also add clients manually — name, email, event type, and date — and followly will schedule reminders just the same.

Does followly integrate with Google Calendar?
Yes. followly connects to your Google Calendar with read-only access to find past photography sessions and use those dates to schedule follow-up reminders. It never writes to, edits, or deletes anything on your calendar.
Is my calendar data safe?
Yes. followly only reads event titles and dates to identify sessions. Your Google access token is never stored in our database — it lives in a short-lived, encrypted, httpOnly cookie that expires within 15 minutes, and your calendar data is never shared with third parties.
Can I disconnect Google Calendar later?
Yes. You can revoke followly’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions, and you can keep using followly with manually added clients.
Emails & templates
Who do the emails come from?
Emails are sent from followly’s infrastructure but use your name and reply-to address, so they land in your client’s normal inbox and any replies come straight back to you. They read like a personal note, not a marketing blast.
Can I customise the emails?
Yes. followly gives you three editable templates — one each for sessions, anniversaries, and follow-ups. You can rewrite the subject and body in your own voice, and use variables like {{client_name}}, {{event_date}}, and {{business_name}} that followly fills in automatically for every send.
What are the three reminder types?
Session (a follow-up after a recent shoot), Anniversary (a yearly nudge around the one-year mark — perfect for couples and growing families), and Follow-up (a general check-in for past or returning clients). Each client is tagged with one type, which decides the template used.
Sending & timing
When are reminders sent?
followly sends reminders automatically once a day, in the morning. Each reminder goes out about a week before the event date, so it lands while there’s still plenty of time to book.
Do anniversary reminders repeat every year?
Yes. After an anniversary reminder sends, followly automatically reschedules it for the same date next year — so a one-year nudge keeps working year after year with no extra effort.
Can I send a reminder manually?
Yes. Alongside the automatic schedule, you can send any client’s reminder on demand straight from your dashboard whenever the moment feels right.
What happens if a client unsubscribes or their email bounces?
followly stops sending to that address automatically. Unsubscribes and bounces are handled for you, so you stay compliant and never email someone who opted out.
Privacy & data
Who owns my client data?
You do. You retain ownership of all the client data you add to followly. You can export or delete it at any time, and we never sell or share it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your associated data. If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first.
Billing
How much does followly cost?
followly is $10 per month, billed monthly, with a 60-day free trial. One rebooked client typically pays for years of the subscription.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every new account gets a 60-day free trial with full access. No charge until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel from Settings at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and your data stays yours.
